Betty Lou was born in January of 2003. She is a real sweetheart and loves to give hugs and follow you around. When you come into the pen with a halter, all the other minis run and try to avoid being caught. Not Betty Lou!!! She’ll come right over and try to shove her nose in the halter! If she knows you’re taking someone else out and it’s not her, she’ll grab onto the rope with her teeth as if to say “Please take me!”
Sometimes she can be so sweet she’s almost annoying! She follows us around when we’re cleaning pens and stand right in the piles we rake, put her nose in the wheelbarrow and try to tip it, or just plain get in the way so it’s impossible to work! But that’s ok- we love her anyways.
She and her sister, Susie Q, who is a year younger, are inseparable. They walk around with their sides so close to each other it looks like they’re Siamese twins! One won’t walk anywhere or get in or out of the trailer without the other. They are both equally friendly, and stubborn as well!
She is also very curious and loves to chew on cones and play with balls!
