Communication: getting
the word out to as many people as possible to ensure that someone who has,
or knows of, a mini that needs a good home will hear about us. Making our
services known to government agencies, humane societies, veterinarians,
horse clubs, tack stores, breeders, etc. to enable them to refer minis to
our facility.
Sponsor funds: to
enable an "aggressive" rescue program. We are currently only able to take
turn-ins but once adequate funds are available will attend auctions with
an eye toward circumventing sales to killers, etc.
Fencing: 4 rail (or
more)
fence panels and gate panels, gate latches (pins or chains with clips), shades,
no-climb wire to line pens for clever "escapees" when needed.
Feed: grass hay, lite pellets, supplements*,
Bermuda seed for pasture. Carrots, apples, and other healthy treats always
welcome!
Medical: wormer,
ointment, fly spray, shots*, vet wrap, gauze.
Office: paper,
envelopes, ink cartridges for printer, postage.
Tack Etc:
For the animals - lead ropes, feeders, mini-sized blankets & mini
halters, brushes, hoof picks and other grooming supplies.
For the ranch, tractor parts*, metal* to build shelter frames and
wash racks, gasoline to power hot walker motor pending transfer to
electric motor, concrete to pour pads for pellet dispenser, wash racks,
etc., electrical supplies* to run power to back of ranch, plumbing
supplies* to run water lines to back of ranch. Fill dirt for pens.
Volunteers: To haul
supplies, put up pens and shades, spend time grooming and exercising
minis, cleaning pens, addressing envelopes, etc.
*Please feel free to contact us for specifics on any type of donation. We
are a small, family run, privately funded facility, and do not currently
have non-profit tax-exempt status. However, unless the donor requests
anonymity, all donations will be listed on our website with the donor's
name, city and state, and if a business, their address, telephone number
and/or website link. (The least we can do in return is free advertising
for a business donor!)
