Cisco's Painted Princess

"Lily"

Lily and her mother were our first minis.  When we got them, Lily was barely six months old.

Sadly we lost Lily's tiny blue-eyed daughter, Dandelion, after only a week.  No one told us until AFTER she died, so we want to share this information with you all in the hopes of saving you from the same heartbreaking ignorance:  DO NOT let your mini foals in the sun UNSUPERVISED until they are AT LEAST three months old (talk to your vet about this issue for more information specific to your foal).  Dandie layed down by mama to take a nap and never woke up - she literally cooked herself.  She was our 4th baby, 2 other minis and a large horse foal, and we had never heard this before - to our extreme sorrow.

Lily's Show Career

Lily Made Reserve Champion!

Lily's short but illustrious show career ended with a trophy as tall as she is, for high point year end from the all-breed horse shows at Scottsdale Saddle Club.  Mostly we were the only ones in our class but hey, WE cleaned ourselves up (aren't we pretty?) and WE showed up, so WE deserved first place!!
